This Weeks Focus

This week we focused on the story.  We looked at who, what, when, where, why, and how.  Last time we did this we focused on the general ideas, but this time we are writing answers within the context of our own stories, or our favourite movie.  This week we worked on six questions that would prepare us for our final form on Friday.  Below I have shared all of the questions we worked on this week.  We finished them all as a class, and if students struggled with any words they could ask at anytime and can still ask with a teams or edsby message.

1)Qui est ton character? (who is your character?)

Mon character s’appelle…(My character is...)
Mes characters s’appelle…(My characters are...)

(Where does your story take place?)

Mon histoire prend place dans…(My story takes place in...)

(When does your story take place)

Mon histoire prend place a…(My story takes place in)

-Le present (present)
-Le future (future)
-Le passe (the past)
-Chaque jour (every day)

(What is a big event that happens in your story?)

Le grande événement est… (The big event is)

(How does your character react to the big event?)

Mon character est…(My character is...)

Story Structure

This weeks videos focused on story structure.  We watched these after answering all of our questions for our own story.  The goal is to use our sentences to write our own story before the end of the school year.

Fast Finishers

When we weren't working on our stories, or for fast finishers, here are some of the activities we worked on and did throughout he week.

Here is a fun brain break to do for when students finish writing their answers to the questions above

Often near the end of class we will play Blookit.  All of the Blookit questions are based on quizlet questions.  You can practice the words for Blookit using the links on the right.

Duolingo is another option for fast finishers as well as continuing to brainstorm story ideas for future classes.

I hope you enjoy these activities and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
