Forces
Today we continued our discussion on forces and also learned about an invention that is trying to reduce the build up of water bottles in landfills. We got to play a game of Kahoot where we identified what was happening in each picture, and then ended by working on a forces lab report.

Earth Day
Today we started by learning about the Ooho edible water bottle. This water bottle is a plastic alternative pouch made from fast-growing, sustainable brown seaweed. The Ooho will biodegrade in a matter of weeks, just like a piece of fruit. You can read all about the Ooho here: https://thekidshouldseethis.com/post/ooho-edible-water-bottle-va-museum-video

After the video we discussed different ways we could help the planet. We thought about what we could do, how we could do it, and with who.
Push and Pull
These are the general movements of forces. We listened to this fun song to get us ready for a game of Kahoot.

Kahoot
Test your knowledge of pushes and pulls by playing along with this fun Kahoot challenge. Click on the link below and start playing. You will be shown a picture and have to decide if it is a push, pull, both, or neither. I hope you have fun!

Lab Report
Everyone got 5 minutes to explore their surroundings. They were tasked with finding objects and actions where you push and/or pull. When the timer ran out students came back and did a show and tell of their items and discoveries.

Try this at home. What can you find that requires a force of pushing or pulling?

Touchable Bubbles
Here is a bonus video and activity for the day. I had some touchable bubbles, and though I would explain how they work and why they last longer than normal bubbles.

If you want to make your own touchable bubbles here is a link to some fun experiments: https://www.homesciencetools.com/article/how-to-make-super-bubbles-science-project/

I hope you enjoy these activities and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
