It was great seeing everyone today.  Today we all got on the same page about what we had online yesterday and where to find this website.  After we felt good about that we started right into our next unit, which is forces. I hope you enjoy! Miss Johnston

We continued to explore the forces around us and we got to do our own forces lab report and show and tell.  I hope you enjoyed sharing and at the bottom of your work today there is a bonus video and experiment you can try at home. Miss Johnston 

Today we looked at magnetism, and kinetic and potential energy on roller coasters.  We read a book on epic and conducted our own magnet experiments.  I hope you enjoy! Miss Johnston 

Today we continued looking at potential and kinetic energy and described different roller coasters with those terms.  We also looked at some design elements of roller coasters that interested us.  This was all to prepare us for our roller coaster building assignments.  I hope you enjoy! Today we talked about fire safety and what to do if there is ever a fire in our house.  We watched a video that taught us some very important information about fire safety, and we ended by thinking about our own fire safety plan. 

Today we learned about the forces of flight.  We ended by folding our own paper airplanes and observing what forces were acting on the plane.  We also looked at what would happen if we adjusted parts of the airplane. 

Today we looked at natural forces.  We began to understand how our definition of forces fits into the world around us.  We looked at thunderstorms and how there are many natural forces in a thunderstorm. 

Today we celebrated Star Wars day by learning about forces in the movies.  We also looked at how forces from the movies are starting to become a reality.  We finished by working on our roller coasters. 

Today we looked at internet safety in health class.  We looked at what type of information was private vs personal.  We ended by talking about keeping that information safe and how to make a strong password. 

Today we presented our roller coasters.  We talked about what forces our roller coasters used and what fun features they had.  Everyone did a great job!

Today we looked at natural forces and how meteorologist predict the weather.  We talked about the type of weather we knew about and watched a live weather report.

Today we looked at ways the environment can predict the weather.  We conducted our own experiment to see how pine cones can predict if the day will bring moisture or not.

Today we talked about sun safety and how we can protect ourself from the suns rays.  We also talked about how we can protect ourselves from the heat of the sun.

Today we read about the atmosphere and started learning about clouds.  We also started our weather journals to work towards predicting the weather.

Over these two days we covered Earth's spheres.  We discussed what was apart of each sphere and saw some experiments demonstrating the interactions of each sphere.

Today we were in health and we practiced some of the techniques we have been learning for mental health.  We did activities that were different, engaging, and taught us something new.  We incorporated things we liked such as animals and space.  We also played a review game at the end.

Today we finished up the experiment from yesterday, while also working on postcards to space.

Today we learned about the different layers of earth and explored how the layers interact with each other.
